Iowa History 101 Mobile Museum will visit Plum Grove Historic Home!

Iowans share a fascination with being Iowan. But what does it really mean to be Iowan? Individuals will have a chance to explore the history of Iowans at home, work and play when visiting The Iowa History 101 mobile museum provided by the State Historical Society of Iowa. This mobile exhibit, which unpacks the stories of Iowa’s past with dozens of artifacts from the State Historical Museum of Iowa’s collection, will stop at Plum Grove Historic Home on June 21st to the 25th from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. The Plum Grove Historic Home was built by Iowa’s first Territorial Governor, Robert Lucas and his wife, Friendly. The 1844 home is located at 1030 Carroll Street in Iowa City, Iowa and will be open for visitors to tour and explore life on the Iowa frontier.
